Trick or Treat layout

Yay, more scrappy stuff!
This week at RMH I got to play with the new Pink Paislee Twilight collection. On this layout I used the paper, die cuts, chipboard and cardstock alphabets.
I have tons of old pictures that still need to be scrapped, so it was really nice to get a layout done from a few years ago. I love this collection and plan to make more with it.

Halloween Treats

Life has been crazy at my house for this past week, but I did manage to make a couple of Halloween gifts using American Crafts products from Rocky Mountain Hobbies.
I found a tutorial to make this acetate box over at SCS.

I also made this cute twist box. I found a template for it and decided to give it a try. Cute huh?

I hope to make more fun stuff with my American Crafts paper...hopefully Ill find some time to sit down and do some more.

Sketch/Layout

The DT at Rocky Mountain Hobbies were asked to create a layout based on my sketch below. I created this sketch based on this layout (click on link)

I didnt want this layout to look exactly like the other one, so I changed it a little bit. I used the June Bug collection again (I used it on my Eagle Project layout, too). I just love the colors of this collection. I also used Bazzill cardstock, Pink Paislee stamp, Autumn Leaves stamp, Cuttlebug Red Tag Sale lettering, and Fiskars Apron Lace border punch.

Thanks for stopping by! Ill have more to post by next Sunday!

Eagle Project layout

We are showcasing Basic Grey paper over at Rocky Mountain Hobbies this week. I chose the June Bug line. I just loved the colors of the line and thought they would work great for Brady's layout about his Eagle Project. I scanned the layout because I think scanning shows a better representation of the colors, but I have a hard time stitching it all together and getting it to line up...anyway, here is what I came up with using the June Bug line. I also used element stickers, alphabet stickers, and buttons from Basic Grey on here.

Be sure to check out what the other DT members make using Basic Grey over in the RMH gallery!

Yellowstone Layout

Heres my newest layout using another sketch from Kim over at RMH. This is Brady and the boys from our ward when they went to Yellowstone in July. I used Bazzill cardstock and Crate paper. The lettering is from the Base Camp cricut cartridge.

Day at the Beach

Heres a new layout. Unfortunately, the buttons make it bulky to scan so thats why there are dark parts on the white cardstock.
Brady went to Willard Bay with his friends. While there they got ahold of a camera and took lots of pictures. Most made me laugh and I think I will make a mini album out of them. I really liked this picture.
I used a sketch by Kim Stolarczyk at Rocky Mountain Hobbies for this layout. Paper is Fancy Pants Summer Soiree. I used Basic Grey buttons and alphabet stickers and a stamp by Pink Paislee.
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Summer layouts

Here are a couple of layouts I made recently. They are for a color challenge at RMH. I used Fancy Pants Summer Soiree paper to do the challenge. The lettering on both was made with the Plantin School Book Cricut cartridge.

This first one if my youngest son.

This is my twins and my youngest son floating in the kiddie pool.

Christmas in July

Recently I was asked to be part of the Design Team for Rocky Mountain Hobbies. I was very excited and honored to be asked. I have been a member of the community there for 4 years, and have shopped in the store longer than that. Cindy always has current products and great customer service.
RMH is doing some Christmas challenges to get help you get your stuff done early. They asked me to make a banner that could be hung on a mantel. This could also be hung across a window or entertainment center...or anywhere else you might have. I got out some old tole painting books for the paper piecing patterns. I hope youll come over to RMH and join in the challenges!

Since I had a hard time getting a good picture, I scanned the stockings to show them off better.

Layout using Felt Flowers

This is one layout I did for RMH for my Guest DT spot. The assignment was to use felt flowers. I used Queen & Co. felt fusion. I just cut them apart. The paper is Scenic Route Loveland. The green flowers are by American Crafts. Brads are by Carolees Creations and Doodlebug. Alpha stickers are Doodlebug Hopscotch.

Gosh, its been a while...

I try to update my blog more frequently, but I almost feel as though I need to create something before I update. I have been subbing so much lately that I havent accomplished much else. I am supposed to have a bunch of neighbor gift ideas made up by Nov. 3 for a super saturday at my church...I hope I get it done on time. I asked a friend to help me out so thatll help me. If you have any great ideas, please share.
Our Guest DT for October is Kristi and she has challenged us to use paint on our layout. I have yet to get that challenge done but I still have a week LOL. Im also hoping to get this months contest challenge done for RMH (to use no patterned paper on a layout).
Hope you are having a great day!
