Halloween Treats

I found these on ETSY. You purchase a download and it gives you everything but the candy and cellophane to make these. So easy and cute! I made them for the ladies I work with at school. I also bought them in Thanksgiving and Christmas!

They are cute, huh?

Halloween Treats

Just thought I would share a couple Halloween goodies I made.
I made these little coffins for the ladies I go visiting teaching to.

Then I made a bigger version of the candy box I have made before. I actually made this for my son to answer for a dance. He put candy in it and said: It would be a "TREAT" to go to girl's choice with you.

Thanks for looking!

creative ways to ask/answer for date dances

My son came up with his own idea of how to ask. It was kinda funny. He left this on her doorstep. You lifted to see his name.
"Lettuce Turnip the Beet at homecoming."

She answered really cute and with the same idea he started.

Homecoming idea to ask

Homecoming is coming up. I paper pieced the owl on here. I told him to write "GUESS 'HOO' WANTS TO TAKE YOU TO HOMECOMING". He didn't want to leave the W off. :)
He put the letters of the alphabet in some balloons. The letters that spell his name he put in a different color.

Crochet Owl

I found the pattern for this little owl by Little Muggles.  I need more practice, but not bad for my first try :)

8 x 8 scrapbook album

I made an 8 x 8 scrapbook album as a gift. I haven't scrapped in a long time. It was nice to get back to it again.

Crochet Reindeer

I made this crochet reindeer. I think he turned out pretty cute.

I got the pattern out of this book that I purchased on Amazon

I realized that my stitches were not as tight (I can kind of see the stuffing through the sweater and head) so I made another one and did my stitches tighter.

It is a little bit smaller. Each reindeer has its own personality. I used thicker yarn (for both) than the pattern calls for and a bigger crochet hook. (I used a F crochet hook and wool weight yarn). He is all single crochet with increase and decrease stitches. Not too hard. The front of the book shows you how to do these stitches as well as a magic ring, which you use to start every part of him. The finishing instructions are minimal so it was trial and error for me since I've never made amigurumi before.

You can get the pattern for just the reindeer without purchasing the book here.
This is what the original reindeer looks like. I changed the colors for mine.
Let me know what you think!

Flower Cookies (How to)

I made flower cookies for a Mother's Day gift for the ladies I visit teach.
Here's how I made them

My supplies. Any flower shaped cookie will do. This was what was available to me locally.

Take out  a skewer and put a spice drop on it.

Then put a cookie on

Then put another spice drop on

Im a little OCD so I like the same color on both sides, but you can do it however you like.
There were 43 cookies in the bag. I made 40 of them, 10 for each lady I visit.

I put bread baggies over them and tied them closed with a message.

Cute and Easy!!

School Dance Ask/Answer idea

Red and White is the last dance of the school year here. Since it was close to Easter when my son asked, we decided to go with an Easter theme:

She answered back...its cute, but I had no where to keep it so it went back to the store it came from:

This CHICK would love to go to Red and White with you.

Flower on Box

Here's another way I used the flower. I bought a kit called Flourish Favor Boxes by Martha Stewart and covered the top with paper and attached a flower I made using a die by Stampin Up!

I found some cute printable envelopes and they were a perfect size for a gift I was giving.
I bought the flower die from Stampin Up! Loving the flower!

Easter Treats (Carrot)

Here's what I'm working on for Easter. I found this VIDEO TUTORIAL on how to make them. I changed the measurement of the carrot to be 4 inches by 5 inches, just so I could get more out of a 12x12 piece of paper. (I got 6 out of one piece) I did the green the same size as she did. I found the BUNNY TAGS online and so my punches are bigger than what she used also. Cute huh? I put 10 mini Cadbury eggs in each of them. One bag made 8 carrots.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentines

I found these cute test tubes at Sams Club with gum already in them. I made the cards to go with them.
I cut the card 3.5 inches by 8.5 inches. I scored at 3.5 inches, 4.25 inches and 5 inches. Fold the card in half (on 4.25 inch score line) and measure up an inch from each side then cut to score line to make the opening for the test tube. I think they turned out cute.

Conversation Hearts

I made a couple of these to send to my son on his mission and made them for Visiting Teaching. Cute huh?
There is a box of conversation hearts in the middle.
Picture shows front and back.

I cut my cardstock 3" x 9.75" I scored at 1 inch and 4.5 inch from each end. I found the printable for the back on Pinterest.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Girls choice ask and answer

The girl that asked my son loves the movie FROZEN. She used the song as her way to ask. There was a trail of rose petals that led him around the house. He first found the snowman sign, then it led to the girls choice sign, then he was led to a flower and heart and her name. We replied using her theme of the snowman from FROZEN and put Mtn Dew with it.
