Recess assignment

The next assignment was posted by Jenni...
ALright ladies...time for a little "break"...get the wiggles out and get moving!!! Today's layout challenge is all about being active! Choose a picure(s) where someone is being active and having fun!!!

This is what I came up with.

Weve also been getting points for everything we do. The goal was to get 15 points and then we would be valedictorian...I made it to 15 points with this layout! yay!!! Ive done more scrapping in a month than I have done in the last 8 months! Homework should be posted tomorrow. Cant wait to see what it is.

Music lesson layout

Heres my next layout:
This challenge was posted by Deanna at Simply Obsessed.
Alright ladies, your 1st class this week is music. And the assignment for this class is to use a song from the year you were born to inspire a LO. This could be the title, the lyrics, whatever, but you have to tell us which song you chose.

I chose the song "Color My World" by Chicago. Its from 1971. I dont know that I love this layout, but this challenge was harder for me because lots of the songs were about losing love and I didnt have a use for that type of song LOL. I finally decided this one fit the best and went with it.

Have a great day!

And by the way, since I'm playing the teacher, let me give you an outline of how I would like your homework to look:

This is the layout I came up with. I dont know that I love it, but its really late at night and Im tired after my long weekend. I just wanted to be sure I got credit since it had to be posted before 6 am Monday morning.

More layouts

Im back with more layouts for the Simply Obsessed game.

This was the art assignment from Brandi: Welcome to Art Class! This was always my favorite class--so much that I majored in it in college! Today's assignment has several parts. First you need to go to http://www.art.com/ and choose your favorite piece. It can be a painting, a photograph, whatever speaks to you. Next I want you to create a layout inspired by that piece of art. You can choose to use the colors as inspiration or the layout, whatever. If you wish you can even pick up a paintbrush and create a one-of-a-kind background! To receive credit you will need to post both the layout and the piece you were inspired by, telling us how you got your inspiration from it. (The best way to post the inspiration piece will be directly into your layout description when placing your layout in the gallery
This was my inspiration

This is what I came up with from the inspiration

This was the math assignment from Shauna: The assignment today has to do with math! This is one of my favorite subjects cause it just makes sense. Your challenge today is to make a LO with a math equation of some kind on it. It needs to include either a +, -, x, or / sign. It could make sense or it doesn't need to. As I said, math just makes sense - but in this LO the equation does not. Let's see what you can come up with!! Have fun with it!
This is what I came up with for the challenge.

Im hoping that the homework is easy this weekend as I dont think I will have much scrapping time this weekend.
Thanks for stopping by!

Layout for game

Heres another layout for the game at Simply Obsessed. Im finally caught up on the assignments Yay! My handstitching is on the flowers.

This was the assignment: Home Economics-Today you are going to do a little hand stitching. Your layout may be any theme, any supplies, and any size but it must have at least TWO hand-stitched designs (not just random stitches--must be some sort of shape or doodle).

I also learned a new trick tonight. I have a 8.5x11 inch scanner, so when I scan and stitch I always have to cut off some of my layout. Well, tonight it kept cutting off my journaling, so I scanned it 4 times turning it each time and stitched all 4 together LOL...it worked...its only slightly off on the stripe paper, but you probably wouldnt notice if I hadnt told you. Anyway, I dont always want to scan 4 times but Im out of daylight and that solved my problem for tonight.

I used the Simply Obsessed August kit to make this layout. Add ons were the Making Memories alpha stickers and bazzill

The Homework this week was to upload a prom picture...Ill spare you. Its uploaded at S.O. in the Homework B thread if you really want to see it LOL.

another layout

Heres another layout for the Sept. game at Simply Obsessed. This one is the Social Studies assignment.
Heather gave us this assignment: I have a new assignment for you today and the subject is social studies. So today I would like you to scrap a heritage photo. By heritage I mean 10 years old or older and NOT of you! Find one of your DH, parents or grandparents, just NOT one of you!!

This is my oldest son when he was 2 years old. The picture was taken by Sears. I used some Scenic Route paper and bazzill. The fonts are Cricut Base Camp and Cuttlebug Harmony.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yearbook Yourself

Im behind on a couple of assignments, but trying to catch up. Ive not been feeling so great this past couple of days. Oh well, they dont have to be handed in til Monday morning. Deanna posted this extra credit today. It was fun...youll have to try doing your own picture.

Extra-curricular activity--Yearbook staff
Okay girls, it's time that we all joined the yearbook staff. I don't know if you've seen Yearbook Yourself on the web yet, but I thought this was hilarious and just HAD to throw it in as a bonus to our School of Scrap! So, to become a member of the Simply Obsessed yearbook staff all you have to do is go to this site, get your picture taken for the yearbook and add it back to this thread. This extra-curricular activity is worth one (1) bonus point!

This is me in 1966. I tried other years...I had to laugh cuz I used to look like 1994.
Go try it http://www.yearbookyourself.com/ Come back and link me if you do it.

Layout and Paper Crafts toot

Here is my next layout for the September game over at Simply Obsessed. This was the homework assignment.
For your homework assignment today you're going to have to do some work at home. This will not be able to be completed in class. Your assignment is to ask each of your immediate family members (husband and kids) why they love you (whether you are mom, spouse or significant other). If you are single and don't have any children, ask your friends or family. Then scrapbook a LO with their answers. It's up to you whether you want to include a picture of yourself or a fam picture on the LO. It could easily be a LO without a picture.
EXTRA CREDIT:1pt Have the family members that can write, write why they love you on paper or why they think you are special and include that on your LO in an envelope, a pocket, directly on the LO or however you would like.

Also, I got the Paper Crafts magazine yesterday that has two of my items in it. Its the Holiday Cards and More Vol. 3 issue. I was so excited to see it. Im on pgs. 94 & 104 if you have it.

Hope youre having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

Cat Layout

This layout was made for the second assignment for the Simply Obsessed game. You can join this game at any time! This was the assignment:
Assignment #2 is a Science one. I know flowers are pretty and they smell good - but I want to get into the "meaty" stuff. So we will be talking/learning about mammals.
Since we are considered to be mammals, I would like you to make this a little tougher and only use mammals that do not wear clothes! That being said - the mammal can be a main picture, an embellie, even a paper piecing - whatever you so desire!

For this layout I used Bazzill cardstock, SEI paper, and Scenic Route chipboard alphabet.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Layouts

These first two layouts were made for the first assignment in the Simply Obsessed game for Sept. This was the assignment:
Your first class is English -- and what English class is complete without some good journaling? So get out your journaling book and write about one of the following prompts:
Here are the prompts (and school years can go from preschool to college, yours or your kids, just have fun!):
- Best memory of the school years
- Worst memory of the school years
- Things no one ever knew about me in school...
- First love
- Part time jobs
- If I could go back to high school...
- As a teen, I dreamed of...
- Biggest regret of those years
- Proudest moment
- Free writing (as long as it pertains to the school experience)

I used Scenic Route Appleton on these. Scenic Route alpha stickers. Making Memories tiny alpha sticker, and notebook paper. (Most of which is available at TTS. And TTS has everything 35% off everyday!) I also used a sketch from Becky Fleck's blog.

Ive decided that I need to use up some of my stash. While looking through my stash, I found the items used to make this layout, in a sack with the receipt from 2005!!! Its doodlebug paper and alphas, bazzill cardstock, and doodlebug brads.

Thanks for stopping by!
