More layouts...

Heres my newest layouts I made using the Simply Obsessed Kit for May.
I got 9 photos on my first layout. These papers can also be purchased individually at One Single Seed.

For this card, I used a sheet of transparency to make the base of the card. I put the background paper on the inside of the card. The paper was printed from the April Mega kit in the digi store at One Single Seed.

I wanted to show another use for the pink paislee paper so I did a "boy" layout using the wood grain paper. The lettering here did not come in the kit. The "Derby" lettering is by Jenni Bowlin and can be purchased at One Single Seed.

Thanks for looking!

Birthday layout

This is from Tylers birthday last week. He decided he wanted cupcakes for his cake this year, so we put 10 cupcakes on a plate and put candles in them so he could blow out the candles on his cake.
I made this layout using products from One Single Seed...Bo Bunny Paper and Bazzill cardstock.

I made this sketch of my layout for the sketch challenge at Simply Obsessed this month. Check out the Simply Obsessed blog for this and other challenges. I would love to see your take on the sketch!

Hope youre having a wonderful day...More scrappy stuff coming soon.

Happy Birthday to me

Today is my birthday. Its just like any other day...I think that happens when we get older, doesnt it? LOL. Im not complaining. My family was good to me this morning and sang happy birthday to me and gave me some balloons and a card. Jeff has been asking what I wanted for my birthday for a few weeks now and I really have no clue. Im content I guess. Im subbing for my birthday and then my youngest son has pinewood derby tonight so that is how Im spending my birthday. Jeff and I will go out on Saturday.

In scrappy news, both Simply Obsessed and One Single Seed are hosting a crop for National Scrapbook Day on Saturday. Be sure to check them out. There will be some fun challenges and prizes!!

Have a great day!

Finally, a new layout

I have been in such a creative slump lately...no mojo to be found at my house. I have ideas but no motivation to do anything LOL. I finally got around to making a new layout today! Bo Bunny sponsored One Single Seed and I got the pet shop line. Its a fun line, and I love the papers. Heres a layout I made today with it. This also goes along with one of the "spring training" challenges over at Simply Obsessed.

Im headed to the scrapbook expo this weekend. Im hoping to be inspired and find my creativity again.

Christmas Cards

I made some quick cards last night. I still have a few things to hand out today and I wanted to have a card to go with them. These were quick and easy. I posted the Monday Mojo challenge at Simply Obsessed yesterday and this fits into my challenge. I showed other examples in my thread there. I now have all my neighbor/etc gifts done...Yay! Are you all done and ready for Christmas?

Baby album pages

I made these layouts as a baby gift for one of my "bosses" at Simply Obsessed. Shauna just had a darling baby boy. This was a surprize for her.
For the Christmas layout I used My Minds Eye paper. Cricut Christmas Cheer (reindeer), Doodlecharms (stars), and Printing Press (lettering) cartridges .

For this layout I used Crate paper. The house and tree paper piecing was made from a pattern by Windows of Time. The lettering was made with Sizzix Doodletag (Home) and Cuttlebug Harmony (Sweet) diecuts.

This layout was made using paper I got as a RAK. I cannot remember the name of the company. The turkey paper piecing is a free pattern from Kaylas Kreations. The lettering is Cricut base camp cartridge. The date stamp is by Catslife Press.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mini album

If this looks familiar, its because I made a similar album for myself not too long ago. My mom really liked it and Monday is her birthday, so I decided to make her one too. Last year we all had our pictures taken and I had everyones on a disk, so I thought it would be nice to have a mini album with my whole family. I have changed a few of the pages from mine and geared it for my mom. My sister has added a new member to her family (her son got married) so I had to do a different picture for her page. I used a Rusty Pickle acrylic album. The rest is Bazzill and Basic Grey. The fonts are Cricut, Cuttlebug, and Sizzix. The little alphabet stickers on my page are Making Memories. The rubons on the Our Kids page is Doodlebug All Mixed Up rubons.

Remember the crop is still going on at Simply Obsessed as well. Low key, but you could win a RAK for completing the challenges.
Thanks for stopping by!

Final Exam

This was the assignment for the final exam for the game at Simply Obsessed:
A good teacher creates exams that are comprehensive, that ensure that everyone's learned all their lessons. With that in mind, the assignment is this: Make a 5 pg mini album that incorporates three of the challenges. That translates to at least 1 cover, 1 back, and 3 inside pages that are front and back done. Got it? Then get going! When you complete it, link up here and let us know the three assignments you used. Good luck! You've got til Wed 10/8, midnight EST
Heres what I came up with...
Im doing this as a date reminder book, like for birthdays. Each month is represented in a paper piecing, then I could write the birthdays for Jan on the side of the tag next to Jan, and then the birthdays for Feb on the other side of the tag...make sense? For the challenges I used Homemaking (march), Science...all through the book, and Math (sept). The equations are part of the background paper.

This is what the book looks like open with the tags in it.

I scanned the pages without the tags so you could see them better. The book is made of envelopes and scraps.

I figured that paper piecing is something that I do, so this book is so true to me. It took me forever, but I like my end result.

Recess assignment

The next assignment was posted by Jenni...
ALright ladies...time for a little "break"...get the wiggles out and get moving!!! Today's layout challenge is all about being active! Choose a picure(s) where someone is being active and having fun!!!

This is what I came up with.

Weve also been getting points for everything we do. The goal was to get 15 points and then we would be valedictorian...I made it to 15 points with this layout! yay!!! Ive done more scrapping in a month than I have done in the last 8 months! Homework should be posted tomorrow. Cant wait to see what it is.

Music lesson layout

Heres my next layout:
This challenge was posted by Deanna at Simply Obsessed.
Alright ladies, your 1st class this week is music. And the assignment for this class is to use a song from the year you were born to inspire a LO. This could be the title, the lyrics, whatever, but you have to tell us which song you chose.

I chose the song "Color My World" by Chicago. Its from 1971. I dont know that I love this layout, but this challenge was harder for me because lots of the songs were about losing love and I didnt have a use for that type of song LOL. I finally decided this one fit the best and went with it.

Have a great day!
