Layout

I have neglected my blog. My kids and their sports have kept me rather busy...along with my church calling. I never seem to have any time.

This first layout is for the Roomie of the Month on the HOP BLOG.

We were assigned to scrap about things we see everyday. I dont actually see this every day, but I see it often. I thought it would be something fun to remember later on.

and this I DO see everyday...I spend a lot of time here.

I have made other things but you can check them out in my HOP GALLERY.

Use Your Stash

House of Paper is challenging you to Use Your Stash! There are points given for any layouts made, and challenges that have points for doing the challenge that are made during the Use Your Stash timeframe. Be sure to check it out in the playroom at HOP.

I purchased the paper for this layout from HOP a year ago. Its so nice to finally get around to using paper I hang on to.

Hope to see you using your stash!

Merry Christmas

This Christmas season has been more than usual busy for me. I ran out of time quickly. Sometimes I work well under pressure and I feel like I accomplished quite a bit in a short amount of time.
I made this Christmas Journal to give to a couple friends for Christmas.

Then my husband and kids needed a gift and both were Mountain Dew lovers, so we made Mountain Dew trees. Cute huh?

At school one of the ladies there had made snowmen out of pop bottles, so I decided to copy her idea for my other son to give to a friend.

And I made these santa pockets to hold a hot chocolate packet and a candy cane.

I need to prepare much earlier for next year LOL. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!! And Happy New Year!

My latest projects

This week our assignment was anything goes. I decided to make a Christmas Planner and a little purse that holds cards.
On this planner, I used Pink Paislee Father Christmas papers. I made the album myself out of Black Bazzill. The papers and ribbon used throughout the book are available at HOP.

I googled for Purse Patterns and found one at Split Coast Stampers. I modified it a bit to make it a different size, but same basic instructions. I would share a link, but I cant seem to find it again.
I used Bella Blvd. Socialite papers for this one.

This is the inside of the purse holding 3x3 cards.

and here it is empty.

Ive been posting Christmas ideas with how to's over on the HOP blog this week...be sure to stop by there as well. (There is a link on the right side at the top under the HOP blinkie).

Halloween

This week our assignment was to make Halloween/Fall stuff.
This layout is of my family on Halloween last year. I used Echo Park Happy Halloween papers.

I found the pattern for this box at the Martha Stewart site and thought it would make cute halloween gifts. I used Happy Halloween on this too :)
If you decide to make them, I learned through trial and error that a spray adhesive is the best option for gluing the paper and cardstock together. The other ways left bubbles inside my box, but the spray adhesive left it smooth.
